Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is a yearly appeal to families and friends of Cedarcrest academy to contribute to the support of the school’s annual operating needs. Unrestricted monetary gifts from the Annual Fund are applied towards the school’s current year’s operating expenses.  Because we are a private, independent school all of our funding comes from tuition and fundraising.  Annual Fund gifts make up the difference between what tuition covers and the actual cost of Educating each student.

Levels of Participation
cedardcrest academy is composed of families and friends who give as they are able. We ask everyone to look at their own resources and praferfully consider a gift to the Annual Fund campaign that is appropriate for them.

This year’s Annual Fund campaign goal is $125,000.00 with 100% participation from our families. Each tax-deductible gift, no matter the size, brings us that much closer to realizing both of these goals.

All Annual Fund donors are recognized by giving level in our Annual Report.  Each year, Cedarcrest Academy’s Semper Altius Members (donors making a gift of $1,000 or more)  are recognized with a reception in their honor. 

Matching Gifts
As an employee benefit, hundreds of American corporations match their staff’s philanthropic contributions. Matching gifts allow you to double or triple your gift to the school. Forms are available from your company’s Human Resources department for this easy way to increase the impact of your gift.

Memorial & Tribute Giving
You can honor the memory of a loved one or celebrate a special occasion through a donation to Cedarcrest academy’s Annual Fund. You will receive an acknowledgement of your contribution, and the family member or honoree will receive a letter of notification as well. Along with your gift and contact information, please provide us with the name and address of the person you would like us to notify of your gift.

Stock Gifts
Donating shares of stock or mutual funds to cedarcrest Academy is easy. Please Contact The  Development Office for information you and your broker will need to initiate this type of gift.

       your charitable goals and the types of opportunities for fulfilling them. 

Your Annual Fund gift is a charitable donation, which can be used for income tax purposes. cedarcrest academy is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Semper Altius Society

Cedarcrest Academy was founded in 1997 by a group of Twin Cities Catholic laity with a vision of bringing a unique educational program and spiritual growth to the Twin Cities area.

The founders of Cedarcrest Academy based their vision for the school on The Legionaries of Christ's pedagogical approach to education, called Integral Formation®.  This approach equips students for leadership and provides the opportunity for them to develop their God given potential. The founders also adopted the motto of Semper Altius or “Always Higher” to encourage students to always reach higher to achieve their academic and spiritual goals.

In honor of this founding vision and motto, the Board of Directors of Cedarcrest Academy established the Semper Altius Society.  The Semper Altius Society annually recognizes those who demonstrate the spirit of our motto “Always Higher” through their generous support of Cedardcrest Academy.  Members of the Semper Altius Society are individuals who make an annual gift of $1000 or more to the Cedarcrest Academy Annual Fund or Capital Campaign.
