Cedarcrest Academy was founded in 1997 with a vision of bringing a unique educational program and spiritual growth to the Twin Cities area. The founders of Cedarcrest Academy based their vision for the school on a pedagogical approach to education, engaging the four aspects of the whole child: intellectual, character, spiritual, and apostolic. This approach equips students for leadership and provides the opportunity for them to develop their God given potential. The founders also adopted the motto of
Semper Altius or “Always Higher” to encourage students to always reach higher to achieve their academic and spiritual goals.
In honor of this founding vision and motto, the Board of Directors of Cedarcrest Academy established the
Semper Altius Society. The Semper Altius Society annually recognizes those who demonstrate the spirit of our motto “Always Higher” through their generous support of Cedarcrest Academy. Members of the Semper Altius Society are individuals who make an annual gift of $1000 or more to the Cedarcrest Academy Annual Fund or Capital Campaign.
