Child Retrieval (“Car Pool”) Procedure

2010-11

(includes all children bussed from Kinder Campus to Main Campus)

Options for Picking Up Your Child After School:

Parents may either pick up their children after school themselves, or arrange to have another family, friend or relative, or after-school program pick them up

(permission slip needed).

New families

If you choose to allow another person to pick up your child(ren)

(either every day or occasionally), please complete the Carpool Registration Form 

Current families

If you have any changes from last year, please complete the  attached Carpool Registration form. Carpool Registration Form

If we don't hear from you, we will assume there are no changes from last year.

Kinder Campus Families

You may pick up your child at the Kinder Campus prior to 2:55pm. At 3:00, all remaining students will be bussed to the Main Campus where you can pick them up between 3:15 and 3:30. All students not picked up by 3:30 will be enrolled in the Cedarcrest Plus after-school program for that day.

After School Child Retrieval Procedure at Main Campus:

 

 

You may pick up your child at the Kinder Campus prior to 2:55pm. At 3:00, all remaining students will be bussed to the Main Campus where you can pick them up between 3:15 and 3:30. All students not picked up by 3:30 will be enrolled in the Cedarcrest Plus after-school program for that day.

New families complete the Carpool Registration Form

• Cedarcrest Academy will provide a laminated blue sign to you indicating  your assigned “carpool number.” You will receive this in late August.
• Put the sign on the front dash of your car during pick-up at Main Campus. (Provide the extra signs to other persons who are on your permission list, e.g., another Cedarcrest family, grandparents, etc.)
• At school dismissal time (3:15-3:30), line up in the “carpool line.” A teacher and the Principal will be outside to guide traffic and call the carpool numbers (from the sign on your dashboard) via walkie-talkie to the staff inside the building.
• Staff inside the building will send your children out directly to your car. All Kinder Campus students will get extra attention the first few weeks until they fully understand the procedure.
