The Standford 10 is one of the leading standardized achievement tests utilized by school districts in the United States for assessing children from kindergarten through high school; it is used to measure academic knowledge of elementary and secondary school students. The average score on the Stanford 10, regardless of grade level or content area, is the 50th percentile.
Cedarcrest Academy is pleased to announce that their graduating 8th grade class has tested in the top 10% nationally in all subjects; scoring 91% for reading, 95% for Math, 92% for Language, 93% for Science, 92% for Social Science, 90% for Spelling, 97% for Listening and 95% for Thinking skills.
At Cedarcrest Academy our students achieve high academic standards. The curriculum is robust and challenging; rich in content. Teachers work with each student to achieve his or her potential and use teaching methods that are sound, effective, and proven. Teachers strive to know the strengths, weaknesses, interests, and personality of their students in order to help each student reach his or her full potential.
“Cedarcrest Academy seeks excellence for every student. We are proud of the work of our faculty and 8th grade students, which is confirmed by these scores. Parents have a choice in education and these Stanford 10 scores provide a glimpse of what is possible in good schools,” stated Principal Jason Slattery.
